New CO2 Extraction Facility Opened
Izmir, January 28, 2025 - Turkey's first large-scale supercritical CO2 extraction facility was opened today in Izmir. With an annual processing capacity of 10,000 tons, the facility will serve the food and cosmetics industries. Ayşe Yılmaz, CEO of Green Technologies Inc., the founder of the facility, said, "This facility will position Turkey as a leader in CO2 extraction technology. We will contribute to our country's sustainable development with environmentally friendly production methods." Experts expect the facility to contribute 50 million TL annually to the regional economy and create employment for 200 people.
